Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a process which removes total dissolved solids from your water. It’s just like getting bottled water at your kitchen sink while saving money and the environment.
The EPA recommends anything BELOW 500 ppm of TDS is drinkable. Sheridan County Municipal Water is around 80 ppm on average, which is well under both regulatory limits! From outside the municipal water service area, we often see water samples greater than 1,500 ppm.
Our RO systems reduce total dissolved solids by around 90%, which means that you can get high quality drinking water from your well in your backyard. To remove all traces of fluoride, arsenic, lead, boron, or other heavy, nasty compounds in your water, reverse osmosis is the way to go.
