The importance of water quality cannot be stressed enough. Poor water quality can cause sickness and even disease and since it’s something we absolutely cannot do without, it should be of the utmost importance.
Some things are easy to spot in order to know that the quality of your water is below standard, such as odors and foul taste. Others are masked or hidden to the point that you may not even realize there’s a problem, such as bacteria or dissolved solids.
Hard water, or water that is full of dissolved and broken down minerals, is another issue, especially here in Wyoming. While it does not cause sickness, it can severely shorten the life of many of your water-using appliances, cause you to use excessive amounts of soap and therefore more water in rinsing, cause your clothes to become dingy or discolored and be less than perfect for your skin and hair.
The good news for you is that we at Water Products and Solutions can help with all of that. To start with, we offer free water testing hardness, total dissolved solids, iron, and pH. If you have a shallow well or are concerned about bacteria, be sure and get a bacteria test done at IML.
Here are three common treatments we provide at Water Products and Solutions:
Odor Removal Treatment
Nobody wants to drink water that doesn’t smell fresh. Algae can make your water smell musty. Hydrogen sulfide can give off a rotten egg smell. Decaying material can also cause unpleasant aromas in your water. An odor removal system can eliminate these — and other awful smells — using a special type of filtration. Once cleaned, you can again enjoy the taste of pure-smelling water.
Reverse Osmosis Treatment
This purification method removes large particles from drinking water such as sodium, arsenic, lead, and boron, among others. The contaminants are simply flushed away using applied pressure to separate the impurities from the water. You’ll feel more secure knowing that these particles are no longer tainting your well water.
UV Disinfection Treatment
Bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens often infiltrate water systems. UV is an effective disinfectant. By using these shortwave ultraviolet rays, you can kill or inactivate many microorganisms that can negatively affect water quality as well as your health.
There’s no need to pay for treatments you don’t need, and we certainly won’t do that. After your water is treated we will discuss your needs with you and explain everything in detail. We consider space availability, your budget and the desired end result you’re looking for.
So if you’re concerned about the quality of your water and what that may be causing, please feel free to contact us to get your free water test under way. We look forward to serving you.
